With 8 years performing in the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra under her belt and now sitting as the current Artistic Director of the Kensington Sinfonia, Laura Reid is undoubtedly talented and a vital member of the classical music community in town. She is an established classical violinist who is constantly innovating and evolving her sound. No stranger to the neoclassical and experimental compositions; Laura Reid has collaborated with countless local artists and is a frequent player in the monthly improvisational series, Bug Incision. She joins Femme Wave this year on and off stage for our first-ever Bug Incision co-production.
