Everything That Touches Me
dir. Meesh QX
British Columbia
This three-minute stop-animation follows the dreamlike foibles of an androgynous tinfoil doll. Everything That Touches Me takes the viewer on a surreal quest to reach the end of what seems like an elusive dream. The psyche of the tinfoil doll is laid bare, exposing shock, love, lust, jealousy, and grief. The toy-like quality of the tinfoil doll is at odds with the electronic score and the enrapturing journey of the thwarted protagonist. This compact film holds an intense light up to our own relationships, bodies, and dreams.
