Kim Bince Villagante, also known as Kimmortal,  is a queer filipinx artist and wordsmith based on unceded coast salish territory. Their experimental hip hop tracks have gained traction across North America, having performed in festivals such as South by Southwest (SXSW), Junofest, Kultura Filipino Arts Festival, Rifflandia and Queer Women of Colour film festival. Kimmortal just released their second album X marks the Swirl via Coax Records in 2019. Their single “I’m blue” was ranked top 20 music videos in Canada and recently CBC music recognized Kimmortal as a dynamic force in the future of this country’s music industry on the 2019 Polaris Music Prize Longlist.. Kimmortal’s live performances are multifaceted, incorporating dance and visual art into the mix in order to create an unforgettable experience for audiences and artists alike.
