Suburban Moms are the epitome of young punk feminism. Formed by four teenage girls over the summer of 2015 at Girls Rock Camp Calgary, they layer the perfect amount of sarcasm into their lyrics sung over catchy punk riffs. Over just five days at camp, the girls formed the group from scratch and wrote the self-titled hit song “Suburban Moms” which hit #1 on the CJSW charts. But camp ending didn’t stop these girls from hitting the stage – they’ve continued their musical career by playing at The Ship and Anchor, the Emmedia space and the Palomino Smokehouse.
